Windows 10 fresh install
- Format USB, download ISO, create bootable USB using Rufus
- Insert into USB drive, reboot, no other boot devices so happily loaded up USB and into installation
- Custom > wanted to delete the partition, but pressed enter while the screen was sleeping (while I was checking instructions) and pressed "Next" by mistake, oh well
- Answered all install questions, saying no to most things
- Rename PC
- Download ESET offline installer on other PC, transfer to USB and to this PC
- Try to install, activation checks require internet connection, plug in Wi-Fi antenna, reboot, connect to LAN
- Install ESET Nod 32
- Bluetooth eventually activates now Wi-Fi is on, connect to mouse
- Download and install Firefox
- Armoury Crate is begging to be installed, but failed with a message that it couldn't find an internet connection (code 100) - just far too eager
- Copy previously downloaded drivers from the ASUS website to hard drive
- Ponder which order to update drivers (don't install Armoury Crate etc)
- Install 1Password
- Update Windows annoying "snap" settings
- Almost forgot, run Windows Update
- Install Windows Terminal via the Microsoft Store
- Install Git client and tick the box for the Windows Terminal profile
- Install Visual Studio Code, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Greenshot, WinMerge
- Install NVM (windows version) and add node using Administrator cmd prompt
- Set up Resilio Sync
- Install Visual Studio, Word etc
