Irish Soda Bread with Treacle
Ingredients
- 600g Wholemeal Flour
- 200g Self Raising Flour
- 2 tbsp Bicarbonate Soda
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 litre Buttermilk
- 4 tbsp Black Treacle
Method
- Turn oven onto 250 degrees celsius
- Grease the inside of the bread tin
- Flour the inside of the bread tin
- Add all dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl (no sieving required) and mix
- Add the treacle to a microwaveable container and microwave for 20 seconds
